Origin Film Productions LLC is an international film and television production company with bases in Los Angeles and Berlin/Cologne. We specialize in service production for international broadcasters, streamers, and production companies working in the U.S., as well as the development and production of our own narrative and documentary projects.
Lea Mende
CEO / Producer
Lea Mende is the founder and CEO of Origin Film Productions, leading the company’s international development, financing strategy, and cross-border productions between Europe and the United States. With dual German-American citizenship and strong ties to both markets, she bridges continents — connecting creative vision with global production infrastructure and funding opportunities.
Lea brings over a decade of on-camera experience to her work as a producer and cinematographer. Her background informs a performance-driven, character-focused approach across documentary and narrative formats. Her production and cinematography credits include collaborations with broadcasters such as ZDF, ProSieben, RTL, ARTE, and National Geographic, as well as scripted television and feature film development.
As both a creative and executive producer, Lea combines artistic instinct with technical expertise, ensuring Origin Film Productions delivers internationally positioned projects with clarity, depth, and operational precision.
Pasquale Roedel
Head of Live Broadcast / Producer
Pasquale Roedel is highly experienced in multi-camera live productions, with a strong track record across Europe’s leading entertainment formats. He has contributed to a wide range of global franchises such as Idol, The Voice, The Masked Singer, Germany’s Dancing with the Stars, and Ninja Warrior, as well as major live premieres for Porsche, Audi, and BMW.
In Germany’s production landscape, Pasquale’s role combines creative and technical direction with broader production leadership. He routinely oversees budgeting, staffing, technical planning, and overall live execution — responsibilities that in the U.S. system are typically divided between director, producer, and DP roles. This hands-on, cross-disciplinary approach gives him a holistic understanding of live and unscripted production workflows.
As Head of Live Broadcast & Producer at Origin Film Productions, Pasquale leads all live-broadcast formats and multi-camera projects, strengthening Origin Film’s capabilities for international broadcasters and global brands producing in the United States.
Celina Szczesniak
Operations & Media Relations Assistant
Celina Szczesniak supports operations and media relations at Origin Film Productions, helping keep international projects running smoothly from day-to-day coordination to outward-facing communications. Based in Los Angeles and raised in Germany, she brings cultural fluency across U.S. and European markets and supports cross-border workflows between the two.
Celina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge, and has a background in marketing, social media, and events coordination. At Origin, she supports internal communication and process optimization, scheduling and production coordination, press relations, media outreach, social media planning, and promotional support — helping connect production execution with visibility and audience-facing strategy.
